Nursing Unit Clerk Job Description Sample 2:
Job Setting: Long Term Care Facility
This role is an exceptional opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic individual with one (1) to two (2) years of related experience. Drawing on your excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, you will be responsible for coordinating the staffing schedule while conducting various interactions with employees in our long term care residence. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the nursing department with clerical duties, arranging Care Conferences, and performing some reception functions. The incumbent will also provide marketing support to the residence by conducting tours, as needed.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, co-operative team player and an effective communicator. The ideal candidate is proficient in Microsoft Office, with a working knowledge of Excel and Word, collective agreements and is able to work on multiple tasks while meeting assigned deadlines. The ideal candidate possesses a secondary school diploma; Related post-secondary training in the Medical Office/Assistant area of study is an asset.
