Manager of Student Services Job Description Sample 1:
As the Manager of Student Services, you will enhance, develop and manage the delivery of support services within the Student Services Department. You are an experienced student services practitioner who will contribute directly to the campus by leading and supporting a team responsible for providing a wide range of services that include: recruitment, registration, orientation, personal support, counselling, disability services, referrals, strategic enrolment management, career planning and other activities related to student success. You will represent Student Services on the campus management team and report directly to the the Dean of Student Services.
Education and Experience:
• a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (counselling, adult education or social work) combined with a minimum of five years of relevant occupational experience in a similar student services role, with an additional three years of supervisory experience, or the recognized equivalencies.
• organizational and communication skills are excellent, and you are proficient in the division’s core competencies, including: personal and career counselling, facilitation, crisis intervention, negotiation, conflict resolution, enrolment management and information management.
• demonstrate a flexible and adaptable working style that reflects a student-centered approach.
• have the ability to work collaboratively as a member of the campus management team.
• have experience in supporting team members in organizational change and providing leadership by embracing the principles of human rights and diversity.
