Job Setting: Potato Farm

Reporting to the potato manager, the farm supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of land preparation (discing, cultivation, plowing , ripping, etc.), application of fertilizers, planting, harvesting, general repair and maintenance, produce hauling & irrigation, along with general farm tasks in accordance with the company policies and procedures.

This position offers great variety and the possibility for considerable growth.

Training & Experience:

A minimum of 3–4 years supervisory experience in a related field.
Strong interpersonal / team building skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong leadership, independent thinking and planning skills.
Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to operate equipment.
Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures and machinery.
Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of the Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint.
Agricultural background and class 3 license would be an asset.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and will be required to work with a diverse workforce. Must be comfortable in an office setting as well as in the field, as the role will require work in both.
