Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct all aspects of campus student housing services including client management, lease agreements, application process, in-house service, and student satisfaction programs.
- Manage related campus food service programs in conjunction with the University’s contracted food service provider.
- Provide transformational leadership opportunities to residence life staff, and through community programming, and the execution of policies and best practices.
- The incumbent will monitor student satisfaction levels and use key metrics and targets as they relate to student life in residence and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Be responsible for the departments financial and inventory resources.
- Ensure delivery of high quality, strategic communications, including website, e-blasts, promotional materials, and various management reports.
- Establish strategic and operational direction while building and delivering a multi-year service development plan. Provide recommendations for maintenance, renovation and capital projects.
- Recommend strategic building and service growth opportunities to senior administration.
- Works in collaboration with the Student Services teams/department to support and facilitate non-academic areas of student life in keeping with the mission and mandate of the University.
- Manages the recruitment and performance of all full time, part time and student staff in Residence Services.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrated success with student engagement and leadership.
- Performance driven management experience and in related service industry.
- Strong leadership, organizational and planning skills. Experience developing comprehensive annual work plans and ability to manage an annual budget.
- Working knowledge of information systems and database management.
- Confident, strong interpersonal skills, team player, excellent written & presentation communications skills.
- Minimum 3-5 years senior management experience.
- Minimum University Undergraduate Degree required, Masters Preferred.
