The XXXX Basketball League is for youth in grades 6-9 and will be run out of participating schools in the neighbourhood. This league is designed to help students learn basketball skills and stay active in a fun and welcoming environment. All practices will be held throughout the week with games on Fridays. The successful youth basketball coaches will have the opportunity to pick days in the week in which they are available to coach.

Responsibilites:
• Supervising all practices and games
• Developing and implementing structured lesson plans
• Liaising with parents and school representatives
• Communicating with Recreation Manager and Coordinator on program status
• Demonstrating good sportspersonship and appropriate behaviour
• Successfully leading fun and active programs that develop children’s skills
The Youth Basketball Coach will have the following qualifications:
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Experience working in a league structure (asset)
• Experience working with youth in grades 6-9
• Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
• High Five (Principle of Healthy Childhood Development) (asset)
• NCCP Level 1 Basketball (asset)

Job Setting: Municipal Pool

Successful completion of Secondary School Education.
- Must hold a current National Lifeguard Service Certificate, Life Saving Society Instructors Certificate, CPR Certificate, and First Aid or Aquatic Emergency Care Certificate.
- Minimum six (6) months of Swimming Instruction/Lifeguard experience.
- Knowledge of the Public Health Act on swimming pools.
- Demonstrate ability to deal with the public in a courteous manner.
- Excellent use of English; verbally and in writing.

Job Setting: Ski Centre/Ski Resort

Education: High School

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Snowboard Instructor Certification

Experience: Experienced and advanced Snowboarder

Job Setting: Private Country Golf Club

Responsible for promoting the game of golf while providing excellent service to the guests & Members of the Club. Provide assistance to the General Manager, Assistant Pro(s) and Private Event Director.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities

- Responsible for all golf operations to include outing sales and execution, merchandise sales and inventory control, tournament operations, member relations, budgeting , forecasting and financial accountability

- Responsible for staffing and personnel supervision of golf shop assistant professionals and golf shop attendants.

- Prepare annual reviews of key personnel on their performance. 1) Meets with various golf committees to plan and coordinate activities; 2) Plan and conducts meetings with his/her staff, assistant pros, bag boys attendants, locker room attendants, cart attendants; 3) Represents Club in PGA sponsored golf functions with the approval of the Manager as time permits. Must focus these efforts with the goal of maintaining PGA status.

- Responsible for and supervises golf shop merchandising efforts of golf shop. Keeping in compliance with the buy plan and approved vendor lists

- Develops golf shop and golf cart operating budget forecasts and sees that all goals are met. Insures that accounting functions and golf control practices are in place and operating to meet ClubCorp standards.

- Establishes teaching program at the Club and teaches golf within the guidelines of this program as time permits.

- Attends all staff meetings. Works closely with the entire staff at the Club to ensure the Members are receiving the best we can give them and they deserve.

- Works closely with Membership Director, Golf Course Superintendent and Private Event Director to provide direction and input on all matters relating to golf operations for their specific areas.

Job Requirements :
Work Experience:

Minimum 3 to 5 years as a Golf Professional

Education:

- College degree preferred

Certification

- PGA Class credentials preferred
- Must have completed level 2 in the PGA GPTP Program.

Job Setting: Public Tennis Facility

Tennis Professionals report directly to the Tennis Director. We cater to all levels and interests so applicant needs a wide range of coaching. Individual will also be involved in assisting with all special events. It is neccesary for the applicant to have a strong playing background. Various members of our coaching staff have coached on the tour, acquired tennis teaching/ management degrees, and are certified with either the USPTA or PTR.
