Post Office Clerk Job Description Sample 1:
Cash handling including the selling of money orders, stamps and registered mail/parcel service.
Answering in person inquiries and resolving complaints regarding the postal service.
Assist with the maintaining of Retail Post Office inventory and ensures the security of mail and cash.
Required Qualifications:
A high school education and computer literacy skills, organized, detail-orientated and record-keeping skills.
Good verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment under stressful conditions ( seasonal holiday etc.)
Positive, pleasant and helpful attitude and enjoys serving the public.
Desired Qualifications:
6-12 months RPO experience, previous retail customer service experience, ability to lift parcels ( repetitively during seasonal business increases).
Work Hours Flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends
