The vacation travel consultant must have travel agency experience and/or travel school training and experience in a related field. Strong ability to handle multi tasks and good sales skills is also required.
Job Description:
• Deal directly with the clients in arranging their travel requests
• Research the clients travel requests and report back to the client in a timely and clear manner by phone, fax, or email
• Arrange flights, hotel and/or car reservations
• Issue electronic or paper tickets and send same to customers
• Process ticket exchanges and refunds as necessary
• Process service fees
• Issue invoices and itineraries and process
• Correctly enter the necessary accounting lines and remarks on passenger files
• Answer phone calls in a quick clear and courteous manner
• Keep workstation area tidy
• Assist in keeping the office tidy
• Assist coworkers with their daily duties when required
• Open and close the office as required
• Organize holiday brochures and supplier information
• Meet and greet walk-in clients
• Process package holiday tickets and vouchers and send to clients
• Deal directly with the travel suppliers in order to resolve any client complaints

• Email or fax itineraries to clients
• Provide assistance to the corporate agents as necessary
• Attend travel trade shows and supplier informational sessions
Requirements:
• Second language, such as French, German, Mandarin
• 2-4 years in a vacation travel environment
• Outlook/Internet Experience
• Computer literate
• Strong grasp of English language
• High school diploma
• College or university diploma or degree
• Travel related programs or educational courses
• Ability to work independently
• Attentive to detail
• Multitasking within a busy environment
• Able to work weekends
