Tax Manager Job Description 1:
The applicant must be a qualified Accountant with CA, CMA or CGA designation and have a minimum of five (5) years of public accounting firm experience, with a minimum of two (2) years of tax specialization. A university degree in business or accounting is necessary and you must have completed the CICA In Depth Tax Course (Levels I, II)
The Applicant must have leadership abilities with strong verbal and written communication skills. Two (2) years experience at a senior level in tax or previous experience as a manager is a necessary requisite. You must fully understand relevant tax legislation as well as corporate tax compliance and planning.
The successful Candidate will be responsible for coaching, managing and mentoring Junior Tax Staff, work as a senior team member on tax planning, capitalizing on business opportunities by developing and implementing strategies for Clients as well as assisting with business development opportunities for the Firm.
