Steward Job Description Sample 1:
Job Setting: Hotel – Kitchen and Banquet Services
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Wash dishes, pots, pans etc. in Hotel and Trade Centre kitchens.
• Clean kitchen and related equipment in Hotel and Trade Centre kitchens.
• Re-stock buffets in Hotel dining room when required.
• Assist with bussing of trays from the dining room.
• Serve as Cove Attendant when scheduled. Replenish food and necessary cafeteria items when necessary.
• Run food orders to the Brigantine when required.
• Follow daily checklist.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be reliable and flexible with scheduled hours of work.
• Must demonstrate attention to detail and commit to taking pride in your work.
• Self-motivated and able to work productively with minimal supervision.
• Must be friendly, outgoing and demonstrate positive behaviours.
• Must be approachable and a team player.
• Will be well groomed.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum educational level – Grade 12 (or equivalency) is an asset.
• WHMIS training as asset.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• This position is very physical and required lifting, bending, carrying possibly heavy loads, walking and twisting.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Able to work in a fast paced, warm environment.
• Will have a great deal of energy and enthusiasm.
WORK SCHEDULE: Shifts will vary. Must be available to work days, evenings, holidays, weekends and at times long hours.
