Responsibilities:
• Lead a small testing team (2-3 members)
• Work closely with business stakeholders to estimate and plan testing schedules, workload and resource capacity required for testing projects
• Develop software testing project deliverables, including overall Test Strategy, detailed Test Plan/Approach, and Project Test Summary, including suggestions for process improvement where appropriate
• Work closely and communicate with the Testing Manager, BA’s/Project Managers, Software and Technical Architects, DBAs, and Developers on the detailed technical design and support of technical solutions to meet functional, performance, and quality objectives
• Apply risk based testing to testing projects, and report risk assessment back to client stakeholders
• Collect, filter, and transfer process and technical knowledge from the client to members of a remote team across multiple time zones
• Verify and validate the functional and non-functional requirements of a large-scale complex financial system that is comprised of numerous applications, technologies, and interfaces
• Perform preliminary business analysis of functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows
• Develop Test Requirements and perform gap analysis between Technical Design Specifications and Business Requirements Documents to identify areas of risk
• Define, collect, analyze, and report on testing metrics
• Maintain and communicate a solid understanding of software testing best practices, methodologies and terminology
• Liaison with the client for approvals of testing deliverables
• Lead, train, mentor and coach Junior / Intermediate members of the Test Team
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT with equivalent IT Experience
Required technical skills:
• Experienced in HP Quality Center
• Proficient in working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Minimum 5 years in Quality Control
• Minimum 5 years Test Lead Experience
• Minimum 5 years working in Business/IT Sector
Desirable technical skills:
• HP Quick Test Professional (or equivalent test automation application/system)
• Microsoft Project
• .NET, Visual Basic, Java (J2EE), PERL, VBScript, JavaScript
• SQL
• XML, SOAP, WSDL
• Unix/Linux
• SOA
Soft Skills:
