Job Setting: IT Department
The programmer is accountable for the construction, testing, implementation and documentation of efficient computer programs that satisfy the business requirements. This position is responsible for completing enhancements and supporting various business applications. The incumbent must plan, co-ordinate, prioritize their day to day activities so that time estimates and deadlines are met. When conflicting priorities or unforeseen problems arise that impact the schedule, the programmer consults with the senior staff to resolve conflicts.
Education & Experience:
Qualifications for this position include a University degree or college diploma in computer science or related discipline; three (3) years’ programming experience; the ability to work in a team environment is important; the person must have well developed communication, organization, analytical, interpersonal, and self-management skills; the person must be adaptable, understand change management and be customer focused; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
