Job Summary:
This is clinical work involving the assessment, treatment and consultation of inpatient and / or outpatient clients.
Requirements:
- Registered with the Province’s College of Physiotherapists and eligible for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association;
- Experience with various physiotherapy clientele such as respiratory, neurological, geriatric and acute orthopaedic cases.
- Written and spoken competence in one of the two official languages either English or French and spoken competence in the other official language is required.

Job Setting: Regional Hospital
The Physiotherapist provides Physiotherapy Service to clients/patients. This will involve an adult and pediatric caseload providing care in the in-patient, out-patient, Long Term Care and community settings. The Physiotherapist will exhibit sound professional judgment and initiative while performing duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision, Values, Standards, Policies and Procedures of the regional hospital. The hospital is committed to patient safety, continued quality improvement, and advancing the delivery of safe and trusted health services. Travel within the District will be required and will be paid as per District policy.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized School of Physiotherapy
- Licensed by the Provincal College of Physiotherapists
- Current membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, while effectively planning, organizing, supervising and communicating both verbally and in writing
- Must be adaptable and flexible to adjust to the changing needs of the service and the program/facility
- Previous experience an asset
- Excellent written & oral communications skills
