Experience, Skill, and Ability:

• Knowledge of medical terminology required
• Fast accurate Keyboarding skills required
• Recent experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel
• Experience and Knowledge of Shorthand preferred
• Three years previous experience as a Medical Secretary is required
• Ability to transcribe from a recording machine and record minutes of meetings
• Billing experience to provincial ministry of health
• Numerical ability is required to compile, interpret and utilize statistical data

• Maintains Departmental and Ministry statistics
• Relieves other clerical staff as required
• Submits Billing and Statements of Account to proper areas
• Maintains a filing system on patients and is responsible for the organization of patient casebooks
• Other related duties as assigned
