Mailroom Clerk Job Description Sample 1:

Job Setting: Law Firm

Responsibilities:

· Maintain and coordinate file storage and retrieval
· Process incoming and outgoing mail manually and electronically
· Review and replenish supplies
· Perform basic database searches
· Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Possession of a Post Secondary education and/or graduate of a recognized Law Clerk Diploma program preferred
· Operation of basic office equipment, including photocopier, scanner and postage meter, some computer knowledge required
· Strong organizational (record keeping, time management, follow-up skills)
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a group dynamic
· The ideal candidate will be a quick learner capable of adjusting to an ever changing work environment.

Hours:

Typically 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday (9am-5:30pm), however must possess the ability to work over time in deadline situations or busy periods
