Job Setting: National Company – Senior Graphic Artist

Responsibilities:

Provide technical and artistic support to the Graphics team by fielding queries, troubleshooting problems, maintaining the department’s process manual, developing measurable tools, archiving all products to CD and proofing final files and ensuring printer specifications are followed.

Coordinate all work performed by Graphics team by providing direction, coaching and training as well as overseeing all planning, organizing and monitoring of workflow to ensure closing date schedules are adhered to.

Review and verify work performed by Graphics team by ensuring quality and quantity of work performed is in compliance with corporate standards as well as identify errors and recommending corrective actions and performing queries and reporting duties.

Edit complex ads and customer artwork by checking for existing art and acting as the liaison with the Sales department by providing expertise and council on issues relating to ad creating and graphic art to ensure corporate standards are adhered to.

Process urgent and special requests for ad creations as well as additional functions required by the department.

Qualifications and Education:

- College Diploma (preferably in a Graphics related discipline) is required.
- 2-5 years experience in a Graphics role required
- Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- Experience in pre-press and commercial printing processes and troubleshooting technical issues with printer are required.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal / leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and decision making abilities.
- Initiative and ability to deal with emergencies and work under pressure
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
