As a part of the Technology Services Group, the Senior Consultant will be responsible for the full systems lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of IT functional solutions. The Senior Consultant will also apply deep functional expertise and client handling skills in order to ensure engagement productivity, increase efficiencies for clients, resolve issues and overall client satisfaction. The Senior Consultant will work under minimal supervision and will be required to oversee the work of more junior team members.  The Senior Consultant will also carry a yearly target for managed revenue.

We are looking for 5 plus years in the following serving capacity for a Technology Consulting Firm.

This position is focused on design and delivery skills for full lifecycle of an enterprise systems integration project
•         Enterprise Architecture – With focus on Data Architecture, Data Processing and Integration Design
•         Knowledge of the CIM Standard
•         Data Architecture, SDLC, Methodologies and Expertise  – Design
•         Design, develop and implement Payload/XML Schemas i.e., CIM as a part of the Integration team.
 
Experience:
• Gathering, Documenting and Designing Data Requirements.
• Data Modeling – Refining CIM reference model (Common Information Model), and web services interfaces (WSDL).
• Experience as a Data Architect, along with data modeling experience using modeling tools and canonical models.
• Information Modeling and Data Modeling in the Utilities industry or Smart Meter realm.

 
Industry:   The industry focus will be Energy and Utilities
Areas of focus:  Smart Meter or Smart Grid
Technology Solutions:  Message/Payload Design, XML Schemas, Enterprise Data Modeling Tools, Data Architecture
 
Position Expectations:
•         Perform current state business & IT assessment for the integration layer, specifically the xml schemas and CIM
•         Design, Develop and Maintain XML Schemas/CIM
•         Good understanding of the common information model (CIM) in the utilities sector
•         Assist Integration team with the CIM/XML design, development and support
•         Continuously update the XML schemas to match industry standards

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity that will see the successful candidate take on a senior role within the technical team of Data Architects, data modelers and DBAs.  You will have a deep background in RDBMS design and or architecture.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience with data modeling and data architecture (relational databases)
• Substantial experience in SQL and or PL/SQL
• Relational database SQL scripting
• Excellent data model and patterns experience discovering patterns in the data model to enable coalescing similar data (e.g. addresses)
• Ability to create present-case data models and migrate them into future-case data models
• Maintaining the data model and migration processes during development
• Strong Object / Relational mapping experience and ETL principles/knowledge
• Experience in Database Administration with Oracle or SQL
