Computer Support Technician who will provide front-line support services for the Department’s desktop environment. Duties will include: installing and configuring PC hardware and software; evaluating and integrating new products; resolving computing issues; installing and troubleshooting peripheral devices; maintaining the department’s website
Experience and Education:
- Experience in managing and troubleshooting aspects of local and wide area networks, common software applications and helpdesk procedures.
- Experience with relational database creation and management.
- Experience in website development and maintenance.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Effective time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities.
- General qualifications would normally include graduation from a recognized post secondary education program with a specialization in computer studies and 2 years experience or a combination of post secondary education and appropriate work experience.
